Love sex dating sermon adult friend finders com
If you would like a recommendation for what season you’re in, send me an email at [email protected] I’d be glad to help point you in the right direction. My church does one called “Love Games” each year and personally, I love it! One of my favorite classes as a Communication Studies major back in college was a Christian Relationships class where various aspects of relationships—friendship, singleness, dating, marriage, family, etc.—were addressed from three perspectives: psychology, theology, and communication theory. Two, because while we know from the Bible how sacred marriage is to God, it doesn’t explicitly talk about dating and as far as I can tell, we’re all just doing our best to figure it out. It’s helpful to bring it into a bigger conversation and learn from people who know more than me because they’ve gone ahead of me!That being said, rather than trying to give a comprehensive synopsis, I’ll just include the description or mission statement of each (where there is one), as well as something I personally took away from the series. In the beginning God created man and woman, and ever since we have been asking questions about love, marriage, sex, and romance. In particular, dating and romantic relationships are something I love learning about. One, because that’s the season of life I’m navigating.
Attraction should never lead you; you lead it (decide what you allow yourself to be attracted to i.God, to your husband or wife, to the Word; Not to a T. Don’t be fooled by mystical feelings (“If I see her today I’m supposed to be with her”). God created the 2 sexes with a “need” for each other – don’t deny this but seek God’s wisdom in it (1Cor., James 1:5).You are not an emotion (you are a spirit, you have a soul (emotions, desires, feelings, thought life, intellect and appetites) and you live in a body.Knowing your true identity will affect your relationships.Loveology is an exploration of what the Bible has to say about the never ending story of male and female.
My favorite thing about this series, along with the book it’s based off of, is how it addresses all the stages of dating that lead up to marriage in a way that is so rooted in biblical wisdom. In honor of it being February, I figured I’d round up some of my favorite sermon series and podcasts on Christian dating and relationships that I’ve listened to and learned from over the years—in hopes they can be a helpful resource to you too. Each of the ones I’ve listed below cover several aspects of relationships, because each include several sermons or episodes.Jesus said the entire law is wrapped up in loving him and each other (Mat.-40). 1Affection, 2Friendship (should be “Agape” or unconditional), 3Mariage (a married man and woman, this also involves agape, but there is more to it than that!!! All 4 areas involve Attraction (Attraction is an emotion which involves admitting something is nice and beautiful compared to lust which is choosing to selfishly use, desire or gratify).
